Chaos in our DC Metro lives peaked in the summer of 2018. We were on a walk in a neighboring community, thinking that moving to a new home would help us escape local politics. Then we had the epiphany that we didn't need to stay in Maryland.
While searching for properties, I saw that Vermont was recruiting tech folk and that ECFiber had a fiber network covering 25 towns in central Vermont. I pulled up their coverage map and cross-referenced homes for sale. This log cabin was the first hit and stayed at the top of our list. We lived with Eva's parents in Plymouth, MA, for a month while we waited for the real estate transactions to close.
Yadda, yadda, yadda, and we started Our Vermont Life.
